Wanna Fly....

A vagabond ..... not confined to the cages we often find ourselves in .... free....no strings attached..... a dream... yes ! ....a reality ?.....need guts...a lot of them !....present day life is too enticing....too comfortable....takes care of a lot of worries.......pay check end of the month.....turns the wheel of life...till the next month...and the cycle repeats....humans turn into ATM machines...happiness follows the money trail....is it so ?...really ?...where is the soul ? lost it some where in all this hullabaloo.....Rat race...the quest for more....and then one day...all of this ends....and all one has is a piece of white cloth...wrapped around the lifeless body....under tons of earth...doesn't really matters than where we finished in the race....Wait !!!...rewind please...do i have more lives?...sorry bro...life is not a video game...you only live once....wake up...break the shackles....live thy dream....no boundaries....no wrappers....look inside....find that missing soul....and fly !!!!

Give me wings, I will fly,
I will soar like an eagle, So free, so high…
Break these chains, that have me bound,
And I will take to the sky,
and I‘ll never come down,
No I don’t care what tomorrow may bring
I can dream, I can fly…. Give me wings…

Lighting Craft

farmanlodhi@gmail.com
Diffused light with saturation tweaked post production to get the lovely Sepia effect.
Finally found some time to do a little bit of experimentation with my photography gear gathering dust since I bought it. A remote flash was the key around which this session was themed. Single light shooting can create some very interesting and artistic results. The arrangement was simple...remote flash in slave mode synced with the camera popup as master on a tripod placed at 45 degree to the subject. The flash fired onto a white umbrella to reflect light onto the subject. I used my reliable 55~250 mm zoom lens at F/4 200 and auto ISO. The room was almost dark with only the pop up and remote flash providing the lighting. Flash exposure compensation is a handy feature in the DSLR and creates a lot of opportunities to play around. Except for minor cropping and playing with saturation and contrast in the black n White images, there is no Photoshop involved. The results speak for themselves

Light setup is visible thru the sun glasses

Flash exposure setting adjusted to negative 1 stop

Worth a Try

CANTON ....Located on main 26th Street near the Abdullah Shah Ghazi Mazaar, this exquisitely decorated place offers great tasting Chinese cuisine at a very reasonable price. Right from the greeting at the reception up to the final thank you gestures, this place offers a refreshing and pleasant feel.......The food is good with a wide variety of offerings to chose from ....ambiance is great...and as the place is still being discovered by many...it was quite and cosy...... Worth a Try !!!

Pantry : Take 2

The first time I had food at Pantry I resolved not to come to this place again. This place however somehow has a huge group of followers and the zillion recommendations from colleagues and friends made me think I might happen to have landed on a bad day. So Take 2 was ON then.....Started off with the Tomato Soup which was ok....followed by a cheese pizza and chicken strips...Awesome !....Main course : Thai red curry with coconut milk and yes of course the highly recommended California Beef Burger. The curry was good, served with garlic and mint rice...the Burger.....sadly another disappointment. The patty was thick with a crust that was almost burnt and tasted like charcoal...the innards were red but dry...A beef patty without the beefy juices is like having a Michelin or Bridgestone between buns. And I am sure somebody forgot to put in the sauces, salts, and spices as the flavour was totally bland....the only good thing about it was the bun was fresh out of oven!

I had to call in the duty manager and was quickly offered an apology and a complimentary dessert. The soft and sweat Italian pudding with a scope of vanilla thus saved the day :-) So my friend Mr Gorra ...... this place is definitely not for beef burgers !
